One morning a month why not take a few hours out and indulge in a delicious and healthy breakfast, enjoy the wonderful cool weather and listen to some insightful talks from local experts and business people. Jane Gammage from A Journey to Wellness, a local holistic lifestyle consultant, will be hosting Mindful Mornings once a month at Reform Social & Grill with the help of an amazing line up of guest speakers.
Some new territory for me, fashion…beach fashion no less, but last week I was invited to the preview of the new Billabong collection at the beautiful SALT on Kite Beach. Who wouldn’t jump at the chance to spend a few hours on the beach with great music, awesome burgers and perfect weather!
This weekend the TruckersDxb held the first Food Truck Jam at Emirates Golf Club, the whole event was highly anticipated and I knew it was going to be incredibly busy and I had my doubts about the organisation, given the MixTape Rewind debacles.
This is a sponsored post. I was compensated, but all opinions are my own.
When someone like Zomato email you inviting you to a foodie meet up at one of the swankiest DIFC restaurants you don’t really say no. So when I received my invite to Clè for a mixology and dinner from a menu created by chef Greg Malouf I immediately said yes.
This weekend thanks to the wonderful Geordie Armani myself and the other half got to go to see The Magic of Queen at Media City. The concert itself was amazing, the orchestra were fantastic and the whole night was awesome.
The weather could not have been better for the Good Vibes Market down in Al Quoz. The sun was shining, the clouds were beautiful and there was a fantastic breeze blowing through. We headed down in the afternoon intent on getting ourselves a good lunch, Alshakal Avenue was easy enough to find but there was a great lack of parking, it was a try your luck on the street side situation, and we did.
Myself and a few other food bloggers were invited to spend our Saturday touring the Barakat factories here in Dubai; having lived here for over 20 years I have always been aware of Barakat as a company and I remember when they first brought out their juice range so to have a chance to see how they manage to get all their fresh produce out every day was something I wasn’t going to pass up – plus I am incredibly nosey so getting to see behind the doors of the factory just entices my curious mind.
