Have you really lived in Dubai your whole life?
I was born here and have spent all but 18 months of my life here (nine months in England at 18 years old and nine months in Bangkok at 21) – and no I do not speak Arabic, or any other language.
When did you find out you had psoriasis?
I found out I had psoriasis when I was 23, after years of trips to dermatologists, GPs, natural doctors and all sorts. I had been shoo shooed from every office being told it was everything from dandruff to a fungal infection but nothing worked and it wouldn’t go away.
While a psoriasis diagnosis comes with a whole boat load of other issues and it has changed my life, but I can honestly say I am so happy to know what it is and now I can being my journey to better health.
Do you take any medication for your psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis?
I do not take any medications for my condition other than the occasional Brufen when the pain just becomes too much to bare, but I really try avoid it.
Instead I use food as medicine and while it may not be as fast acting as pharmaceuticals it has better long term effects and aside from happiness, no side effects. Win win.
